Superior is a beautiful town with a rich history that began with coal mining. The town was actually named due to its “superior” quality of coal found in the area. Although its foundation was in mining it evolved to be a fantastic community for ranching and farming. Today, Superior has much more to offer. It was voted in Money Magazines top 20 places to live in 2011. The list of amenities to living in Superior go on and on but a few examples are the large number of museums and libraries and offers a variety of recreational opportunities. The future of Superior also has extensive plans including development plans for commercial development, retail development, multi-family residential units, and single family homes including a mixed use urban center to be called Superior Town Center has been in the works for over 15 years the time is drawing near that it may be put into action.
