I had a great time at the craft show/fundraiser at Studio Twenty today in the Fonthill plaza.
I was really looking forward to having another show under my belt, knowing how to set up, and to see what other vendors are doing. I made a couple of sales which is great, and I got many ideas to improve my business and show display.
Ideas:
-better table set up, more 3 dimensional, different height displays and more inventory
-set up a display board to show before/during/after making pieces so customers can really see what’s involved in making hand crafted jewellery -Thanks Carol Berkhout-Bosse, it was great to meet you today
-make sure my table cloth isn’t wrinkly, lol
Thank you so much to my friends who came to visit to support me. You have no idea how nice it was to see a familiar face, I was very nervous as this was my second show, having my friends pop in made me less nervous and feel more confident. I really appreciate it. For my friends that couldn’t make it out, you were there in spirit for sure

I am now focusing on prepping for my next show on June 3rd, in Harold Black Park (Haist St.). I want to have a lot of inventory (unique one of kind pieces).
I will be looking for new ideas to be inspired by, most likely out in nature on walks with Spring blooms and active wildlife.

This made my day today. I’ve spotted this white squirrel three times since I’ve lived here. He lives near A.K. Wigg School (Haist/Canboro). I seen him today and did the “Stop the car”. I finally got a picture of him. So damn cute!!!
My husband and I just celebrated our tenth anniversary on February 21, 2012. We went for a hike in the shorthills. We spend a lot of time hiking and doing things outdoors. Since we’ve been together, we’ve been hunting for antlers that have fallen off of deer this time of year. We circle their rubs, walk the deer highway, and try to take the path less taken.
On our hike, my husband spotted one. After ten years, we finally found one. We were actually checking out a mudslide near the creek when we stumbled across it. It feels great to finally check this off the bucket list and even more special that we found it on our tenth anniversary.
We had rubber boots on, so we decided to hike the creek back to the main trail. We lucked out with stunning images and serene sounds.
We will still continue our hunt to expand our antler collection, hoping each one will have a unique story behind it.

Custom Order – Funk Town – I love making this style. This one is very special, a gift from Sally to her friend for her birthday. There are six Swarovski birthstone beads incorporated, 2 Jan (Garnet), 2 Feb (Amethyst), 1 May (Emerald), 1 Dec (Blue Zircon). Twisted, wrapped, so Funky. My client described her friends style to me, I just had to do this, I hope she absolutely loves it!!!!! Oxidized and hand polished to leave an overal antique feel. Thank you so much Sally.
